About us

Director and Founder Philip Dawson is well known around the North West of England for his professionalism and attitude towards problem-solving. Many of Phil’s clients are long-standing which demonstrates the trust they have in him.

Phil predominantly deals with owner-managed businesses from all sectors, advising on Taxation (planning and compliance), Accountancy issues, Inheritance tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Business Valuations, Forensic Accounting and HMRC investigations.

Phil is a keen football fan and whilst he supports Tottenham Hotspur, he also enjoys Golf, Boxing, Swimming and Sailing. He holds a level 2 RYA sailing qualification.

I am a fully qualified chartered certified accountant with the ACCA, and have worked with Phil for many years, and with Dawson and Co since it was established. I have over 20 years experience in accountancy, with over 10 of these working alongside Phil. I have had a lot of experience with Limited Companies and all other types of owner managed businesses. IRIS, SAGE, QuickBooks are all packages I have used and thoroughly enjoyed and am fully compliant with, to name just a few. I feel it is very important that clients are kept happy, up to date, and I will always do my upmost to ensure that all clients’ needs are met.

A firm of accountants with a fresh proactive outlook for all clients. Although only established in 2016 Philip Dawson and Clare West have combined experience of over 50 years within the profession and helping satisfy client’s needs.

Based in the North West of England but with a client throughout the UK and Europe we can help you with the standard things such as Accountancy and Taxation compliance, we would rather work with you before any of the more mundane deadlines appear, with planning and proactivity.

Our office based in Bolton, Lancashire merely serves as a hub for us all as we are always out and about with our clients. We have cloud technology which allows us to work anywhere at any time. This flexibility is the key point to the service we provide.

We have strong links with other professionals, such as all the major Banks and Financial Institutions as well as Solicitors, Insolvency Practitioners and Independent Financial Advisors, but to name a few.
